Requirements to become a LCC

There is a set of requirements you need to meet to become a LCC, also you need to comply with our code of ethics. This result in the reliability and dependability of all cluster members. What infrastructure do I need to function as a LCC?

In order to maintain quality standards, Latinux provides the requirements to be met by any Authorized Center in order be ready to offer certification exams.

  • Adequate equipment with their licences, if needed.
  • Network connection.
  • The authorized instructor or proctor must have a desk and chair.
  • The candidates for the exams must have desks and chairs  with a PC's per participant.

What types of certifications can be applied at my center?

Depending on the type of center, the certifications that may be taken there are:

LCTC - Latinux Comunity Test Center

  • Linux Certified User (CLU - Certified Linux  User)
  • GNU/Linux Junior Operator (JLO - Junior Linux Operator)

LACT - Latinux Academy Test Center  

  • Linux Certified User (CLU - Certified Linux User)
  • GNU/Linux Junior Operator (JLO - Junior Linux Operator)
  • GNU/Linux Certified Administrator (CLA - Certified Linux Administrator)

LUCT - Latinux University Test Center

  • Linux Certified User (CLU - Certified Linux User)
  • GNU/Linux Junior Operator (JLO - Junior Linux Operator)
  • Certified GNU/Linux Security Administrator (CSLA - Certified Security Linux Administrator)
  • GNU/Linux Certified Administrator (CLA Certified Linux Administrator)
  • GNU/Linux Network Services Administrator (CNLA - Certified Network Linux Admin)
  • GNU/Linux  Security Administrator (CSLA Certified Security Linux Administrator)

Are there any limitations on the number of test takers?

No. The limitations are imposed by the physical infrastructure of the LCC.

Is it necessary to have certified personnel to be a

Latinux LCC ?

Only for LUCT, which requires at least one certified instructor to monitor the CSLA and CNLA tests.
